led lighting
This can sometimes be the quickest way to start our Net Zero journey.
We have many solutions that can reduce your energy usage but be aware, some conventional lighting solutions are also very energy efficient. In saying this as of September 2023, a variety of fluorescent lamps and halogen capsule lamps started being phased out. As a result of new legislation, this phase-out means that these lamps will no longer be manufactured. However, you will still be able to purchase and fit these products while stocks last, so at some point, switching to LED will be your only solution.
Our warranties will differ based on your usage. LED’s are a solid source light state, meaning that there are no lose parts, like filaments in a conventional light source, this allows for a longer lifetime of the products we recommend.
With so much choice in the market we look at various things before recommending the right solution for our clients:
- Usage
- Light levels required – inline with government legislations around light levels, this also ties into your insurance
- Controls to work with occupancy, natural light sources, such as windows – all these things add additional savings due to reducing the light output from the products installed
- Remote access for standard lighting and also emergency lighting. This can support your estates and maintenance teams in travelling to sites when tests, DSE’s etc can be managed remotely and in seconds, elevating on site potential issues
- Can you get a funded option so that you can have LEDs for free, offsetting the costs against the energy savings. This meaning no additional capital expenditure required so start your Net Zero journey
